Failed Back Surgery Syndrome

In 1994, The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services reported "surgery has been found to be helpful in only 1 in 100 cases of low back problems," and "in some people, surgery can even cause more problems." (See article) Stanford University states, “Psychological factors may be the root of back pain.” (See Article) Could back-surgery be a bigger medical scam than the $3 Billion Knee Surgery problem?

With the extreme odds against success and the high probability that emotions may be a big contributor to the problem, doesn't it make sense to investigate alternatives?   There are many scientific studies that demonstrate the effectiveness of Hypnosis for relieving back pain - among many other medical problems. There are a multitude of case studies reporting the effectiveness of Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT). We have used both techniques with great success.
