| In
1994, The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services reported
"surgery has been found to be helpful in only 1 in 100 cases
of low back problems," and "in some people, surgery can
even cause more problems." (Redflagsweekly.com March 18, 2002) With
those odds against success, doesn’t it make sense to investigate
alternatives? There are
many scientific studies that demonstrate the effectiveness of Hypnosis
for relieving back pain - among many other medical problems. There
are a multitude of case studies reporting the effectiveness of Emotional
Freedom Technique (EFT). We have used both techniques with great
success.
Listen to this NPR interview as two specialists
talk about their approach to chronic back pain, which rejects longstanding
assumptions about the causes of the pain and offers a self-treatment
plan that includes relaxation, stress-management, emotional relief,
which are all elements of Hypnosis.
