Hypnosis
For Dynamic Change
1. Locate a comfortable location . A location that is quiet and not too brightly lighted is desirable.
2. Define the time you want to spend in self hypnosis. Tell yourself how long you want to work on your suggestions. You'll be amazed at the accuracy of your internal clock. If you are concerned, you can use an alarm clock.
3. Write a very short positive note . Define what you what to work on. Keep it positive! For example: "stay smoke-free" - not "quit smoking", " be comfortable" - not "stop sneezing", "eat sensibly" - not - "don't overeat"
4. Get into a comfortable position. You can sit or lay down, but if you are sitting, you probably won't be tempted to fall asleep.
5. Review your preview note three times. Read the note you have written three times. After the third time, just drop the note. Reading and thus internalizing your goal reinforces that you are turning the work over to your unconscious.
7. Tell yourself how you wish to "awaken". Usually it will be "feeling wide awake and refreshed". Other times you'll want to awaken "ready for a great night's sleep," or "focused on the.......(fill in the blank), or "motivated to accomplish....(fill in the blank) or any other feeling or goal
8. Relax and begin breathing deeply & slowly. Relaxation is the key to effective positive results. Inhale for the count of 8, hold for 8, exhale for 8. Touching your thumb and forefinger together, use your shortcut phrase “blue diamond” and inhale for the count of eight, hold for 8, and exhale for 8.
9. Begin to induce your trance. Begin breathing deeply, in for 8, holding for 8, exhaling for 8. Settle into a nice comfortable position. Move the neck, shoulders, head, as necessary to be comfortable. Continue the nice breathing pattern. Touching your thumb and forefinger together repeat to yourself the short-cut phase "blue diamond" and continue your deep breathing.
10. Go deeper into trance . As you feel yourself beginning to relax, count down form 10. Continue breathing in for 8, holding for 8, and exhaling for 8. As you count down, touching the thumb and forefinger together, repeat your shortcut phase "blue diamond" and "it's great to relax." After each even number (8, 6, and if you are still aware, 4 & 2.) Let a background sound (the hum of the air conditioner, the drip of a faucet, etc.) help you relax. Let the feel of the fabric of your pants, chair etc. help you relax. And just continue your breathing and relaxing.
11. Relax and enjoy the experience. Your unconscious will now do the work. You can just enjoy the experience.
12. Repeat the above procedure often. The more you practice the faster it becomes to get into trance. It will be easier to have your unconscious to do marvelous work and obtain terrific results.
SHORTCUT PROCEDURE:
Define what you want to achieve.
Take one or two deep breaths with you eyes closed.
Let your eyes be so relaxed you cannot open them.
Test and realize you cannot open your eyes.
Enjoy.going deeper relaxed and making changes
Why "Blue Diamond"? We teach the shortcut phase "blue diamond" to our clients during their first session. Blue is a very relaxing color and we use it as tool to promote calm and peacefulness. Have you ever heard the song, “I'm Just a Lump of Coal, but I'm Going to be a Diamond Someday."? We can let our unconscious turn us from a lump of coal into a diamond ...extremely bright, desirable, hard, durable, and valuable…Won't you? To read the lyrics, both as written and as rewritten to be "A if Now"
Vision doesn't usually come like a lightening bolt. Rather, it comes as a slow crystallization of life challenges that we one day recognize as a beautiful diamond with great value to ourselves and others. – Michael Norwood, Author, The 9 Insights
